New York Attorney General Letitia James has ordered 78 medical transport companies from Albany to Buffalo to stop transporting Medicaid recipients in group rides.

That includes 17 transport services in Rochester that James says were crowding people into a single vehicle, at the risk of spreading the coronavirus. The rule for the duration of the crisis is one passenger per vehicle.

James says the companies she issued warnings today were violating that explicitly stated prohibition,.
