A group of area elected officials are meeting on this month’s rejection of a project labor agreement by the panel overseeing Rochester’s school building modernization program.
City Council Member Jackie Ortiz says the 3,3,3 Ad Hoc Education Committee and City School Board President Van White have called a special meeting to discuss the changes in the Facilities Modernization Program. The Ad-Hoc Committee is a partnership with the Rochester City School Board, Monroe County Legislature and the City Council. It’s calling for statements from the Rochester Joint Schools and Construction Board that shot down the labor agreement and local labor leaders.
Construction Board members supported by Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren rejected the labor agreement for the second phase of the project, saying the first one under-performed.
They’re meeting at 4:00 this afternoon at City Hall.
