New York State Police say a woman putting gas into her disabled car was killed last night on the side of Route 63 in Dansville.
They say the 44-year-old woman ran out of gas and pulled to the side, but with her car partly in the roadway. She was pouring gas into her tank when another vehicle came along and the driver didn’t see her until it was too late.
Troopers say the woman had her lights off, and the second driver tried to swerve around but ended up striking her. No charges have been filed so far but the investigation is still underway.
