The AARP says Rochester is one of the 10 best places in America to live on less than $40,000 a year.
According to “Business Insider,” AARP and Sperling’s Best Places created the list by calculating housing affordability, access to work and play, transportation, healthcare and safety. They cite UR Medicine and Rochester Regional Health systems as pluses, and being the birthplace of Wegmans doesn’t hurt, either.
Other cities on the list include Cleveland; Eugene, Oregon; and Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
