The City of Geneva is getting ready to join the Ontario County 911 system, switching over from dispatchi
ng its own police and fire calls in about two weeks.
The Ontario County E911 Center says it’s completing final tests of the equipment and will switch over Geneva fire calls in mid-July; police calls by August 1st if all goes well.
In addition to 911, Geneva will have three walk up call boxes that will let people communicate directly with 911 dispatchers in an emergency.
