A 911 dispatcher has been arrested after allegedly sharing confidential information with someone outside the City-County Emergency Communications Department.
Mayor Lovely Warren’s Office says Danielle Waters has been charged with a misdemeanor count of official misconduct. She’s been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation. The ECD is also running an internal investigation. Waters has worked for the department more than four years.
According to the complaint filed in court, Waters used the department computer system to look up information about the arrest of a robbery suspect and texted it to the suspect’s girlfriend.
Mayor Lovely Warren says all city employees are guardians of the public trust and the city will act swiftly if it believes that trust has been abused.
