Classmates of Dominic Cook wore blue Monday, his favorite color, a day after their classmate was struck and killed by an SUV on Flynn Road.
The Merton Williams Middle School 7th grader was crossing the street to jump on a friend’s trampoline when he was Lakeshore Fire Department SUV. The volunteer firefighter jumped out and tried to render first aid along with neighbors who ran to the scene, but Cook was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
Greece Police continue their investigation of the accident. They have not named the driver of the SUV yet. The SUV was equipped with lights and a siren, but they weren’t on because the vehicle wasn’t on an emergency call.
