New York State Commissioner of Education MaryEllen Elia says Rochester Schools No. 3, 8, 9, 17, 45, the James Monroe High School and Northeast High School have all made demonstrable improvement … and aren’t at risk of being closed down any longer.
But she says Kodak Park School No. 41 did not make that sort of improvement. That means that the district has 60 days either appoint an Independent receiver or close the school and replace it with a newly registered school.
The Superintendent and the Board of Education will work together to determine the best option for School No. 41.
