Six men were charged with patronizing a prostitute after a series of arrests this week at a motel in Wayne County.
Sheriff Barry Virts says deputies got a tip about suspicious activity at a motel in the Town of Ontario. They found an ad on Backpage.com in which a woman was offering sex for money in the area. Together with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, deputies tracked the woman down, found she was a heroin addict and looking to raise drug money.
They sent her into a recovery program and she agreed to help deputies set up a sting. Six men who answered her online ad were arrested:
- Michael Fischer, 45, of Webster
- Leopoldo Sanchez, 33, of Sodus
- Robert Smith, 47, of Canandaigua
- James Barr, 59, of Webster
- Timothy Sullivan, 56, of Palmyra
- Robert Assisi, 53, of Cicero
All six were issued appearance tickets for Ontario Court.
