Five hundred people filled Rochester’s Washington Square Park on Sunday afternoon, condemning President Trump’s executive order on immigration.
The order severely restricts immigration from seven Muslim countries, suspends all refugee admissions for 120 days, and bars all Syrian refugees indefinitely.
The Rochester protesters chanted and held signs denouncing the presidential order and welcoming immigrants. Speakers including Mayor Lovely Warren said banning an entire group of people from the United States is fundamentally un-American.
