It’s the City of Rochester’s fourth homicide in four days.
A man was shot and killed Wednesday night near Hudson Avenue and Ernst Street. Police went there after reports to 911 of people hearing gunfire. They found 26-year-old Daniel Sutton, Jr. of Rochester had been shot on the street, then run into a store on Hudson Avenue for help. He was taken by a private car to Rochester General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Earlier Wednesday, a man was shot and injured in the 900 block of North Plymouth Avenue. The 29-year-old victim is expected to recover.
Meanwhile, police made an arrest in a homicide early Wednesday morning when they charged 28-year-old Martha Jones with second degree murder. Police say Jones shot Micah Welch, a 34-year-old man found shot on Brookdale avenue near the airport.
