New York’s Department of Transportation says construction has started on a two-million-dollar-plus project to improve safety at two intersections in Penfield.
The DOT is upgrading the intersection of Route 441 with Huber and Harris Roads….and with Carter and Salt Roads. They’re removing a knoll that blocks people coming up to the intersections from seeing if traffic is crossing the road. It’s an important safety improvement, but it means part of 441 will have to close for about a month.
It means about 12,000 vehicles per day will have to detour around the construction.
