New York State Police have identified the two people killed in yesterday’s fatal crash on I-390.
Troopers say 25-year-old Kristina Maye of Bergen and Terry Gilbert of Rochester were killed when the car Kristina was driving suddenly veered out of the southbound lanes of 390, crossed the center median and smashed head-on into a northbound car.
That car was driven by State Police Lieutenant Amie Ferolito, who was seriously injured but is recovering after surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital.
A third car was unable to avoid and side-swiped the out-of-control vehicle, but the two people in that third car were uninjured.
Troopers are continuing to investigate what happened.
