Three teenagers were shot Thursday over an hour’s time in Rochester, and one of them was killed.
Police say the fatal shooting took place about 2:30 PM on Alphonse Street. They found the teen shot in the upper body and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police were still working to identify the victim.
The first shooting was at 1:30 p.m. on St. James Street. The 17-year-old victim was shot in the leg and was recovering. Police took a male suspect into custody and recovered a loaded handgun.
The third shooting took place about 10 minutes after the fatal shooting on Remington Street. In that case, a teenage male was shot in the upper body and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was taken into surgery. His injuries were described as serious.
