Police say they have no suspects so far in three shootings that took place within a quarter-of-an-hour yesterday in two separate incidents.
Officers were called at 6:30 to a convenience store at the corner of Joseph Avenue and Wilkins Street where they found two people had been shot. A 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were both shot in the lower body. Both were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Fifteen minutes later, officers responded to 43 Texas Street where they found an 18-year-old city woman shot in the lower body. She was also taken to Strong Hospital and is recovering. Police say she was apparently shot while sitting in a parked car on the 300 block of Campbell Street, and was driven to Texas Street where the incident was reported.
