ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Congratulations to a trio of Rochester Rattlers: Joel White, Jordan MacIntosh, and John Ranagan, who won the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Champion’s Cup as members of the Georgia Swarm on Saturday night in Western Canada.
The Swarm beat the 2-time defending champion Saskatchewan Rush, 15-14 in overtime to win the Best-of-3 sereis, 2-0. The title is the first for the Swarm.
White scored the goal that sent the game into overtime. He picked up 7 loose balls and had one caused turnover. MacIntosh won 10 of 30 faceoffs and picked up 5 loose balls.
The Rochester Knighthawks are the only NLL team to win the Champion’s Cup three consecutive seasons: 2012, 2013, 2014.
