Three men were shot in two separate incidents Wednesday night in Rochester.
The first incident was reported about 10:30 pm when the city’s ShotSpotter system called officers wo the area of Berlin and Bradford Streets. They found two men had been shot while riding in a car. The car then crashed on Herald Street. The 27 and 37 year old men are recovering from their injuries.
A K9 unit driver responding to the scene was hit by a wrong-way driver, who then fled the scene. Neither the officer or the dog was injured.
Then, at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, ShotSpotter again gave notification of gunfire at Hazelwood Terrace and Denver Street. Police learned a 31-year-old city man was shot and taken by friends to Strong Memorial Hospital. He’s being treated and is recovering.
Police recovered a weapon, but don’t yet know if it was connected to the shooting.
