FBI agents and local deputies spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday working off a rural dead-end road about 40 miles from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina…looking for the remains of a vanished Chili teenager.
They wrapped their search of the site in Georgetown, South Carolina Sunday evening. According to 13 WHAM, the FBI reports finding “useful information” in the disappearance of 17-year-old Brittanee Drexel eight years ago. The FBI said “credible information” led them to a wooded area in the middle of a suburban neighborhood where the used shovels and an excavator in their search for some sign of Drexel. She vanished in 2009 during a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach.
Federal court transcripts filed in August quote a prison inmate who claims he saw Drexel murdered by a man named Shaun Taylor and his then-teenage son.
