The case of a man whose body was found buried in a backyard at 52 Dayton Street last month has led to three people being charged with murder.

The same three have also been charged with a home invasion robbery on May 12th, in which a Rochester woman and her four-year-old son were tied up at gunpoint. Police investigating the home invasion found reason to believe Moran Wilson might have been murdered. Evidence led them to the Dayton Street house where they found Wilson’s body.

Three people who were already in custody on other charges turned out to be responsible for both crimes: Genesis Colon-Lopez, Tyshon Miles and Alvin Hancock, who had just been released on parole after 11 years in prison.

An indictment unsealed in court charges all three with second degree murder and kidnapping, as well as the home invasion.

Family and friends of the victims got into a shoving match with deputies when it turned out there were too many of them to get into the courtroom.
