A Second Rochester city employee has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The worker was involved in handing out grab-and-go meals at the Carter Street R-Center, and last worked on Wednesday, March 25 before beginning to feel sick.
The Carter Street Center has been cleaned three times since then.
The city meal distribution sites are following preventive measures recommended by the Monroe County Health Department, including having employees wear masks and gloves. Despite that, Health Commissioner Michael Mendoza says it’s important to wash your hands after picking up a meal and stay six feet away from other people at all times.
