Rochester Police have made a second arrest in the death of three-year-old Kei’mere Marshall, who allegedly died of injuries after being beaten by 32-year-old Anthony Love.
Police have arrested the boy’s mother, Andrea Lipton. The 28-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter in her son’s death. Lipton was in a relationship with Love, who had been released on parole in January. He was living with her and Kei’mere in a house on Avenue C.
Prosecutors say Love was responsible for Kei’mere’s care from July 1 through 11. During that time he allegedly beat the child causing serious injuries. Lipton is accused of failing to seek medical attention for her child, knowing that he was in pain and needed help. They say that ultimately led to the child’s death.
