Eight children and an adult are safe after a fire early Monday morning on Stutson Street. The fire in the basement of a single family home was extinguished within 20 minutes by the Rochester Fire Department. One child was sent to the hospital with smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Two Rochester firefighters have been suspended for allegedly smoking marijuana while on duty. The city says only that the two were suspended. WHAM 1180’s Bob Lonsberry reports they were smoking weed at a city fire station.
