The Rochester Fire Department says a blaze that destroyed a vacant home on 4th Street last week was arson. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The fire started late last Thursday night  and was so intense that firefighters were forced out and had to fight the blaze from outside.

Farmington Man Charged

Canandaigua Police have charged a Farmington man with attempting to lure a child into meeting up for sex. They charged 27-year-old Joseph Oberdorf after he communicated online with someone he thought was an underage child…but was actually a police detective. He was traced to Farmington and arrested.
