The Rochester Institute of Technology reports the death of longtime provost and former vice president for Academic Affairs Stanley McKenzie. McKenzie died Tuesday in Tucson, Arizona. He served for 41 years at RIT including 34 years in the English Department before joining the university’s administration in 1994.
Rochester Police responded in force to 22 Sobieski Street overnight for a report of a woman being shot. They didn’t find anyone hurt and are interviewing the occupants of the house to determine if a crime actually took place. There were no injuries and no arrests
