Monroe County Fire Coordinator Sam DeRosa is leaving that job effective December 9th. DeRosa has been named Chief of the North Greece Fire District. He’ll start his new duties in mid-December.
Two pedestrians were struck and killed by cars in the Rochester area Thursday night. Greece Police say a 49-year-old woman died after being hit by a car while crossing Latta Road at Island Cottage Road. It happened about 7:45 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
