A woman was run over by a backhoe this afternoon on Ernst Street in Rochester. Police say the 57-year-old victim was hit about 2:30 p.m. near the corner of Hudson Avenue. Rural-Metro Ambulance took her to Strong Memorial Hospital. There’s no word yet on her condition and police haven’t said how the accident happened.
An 18-year-old city man riding a bike on Wilder Street hit the driver’s side of a car this morning. Police say the victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after bouncing off the car’s windshield. He’s said to be in serious but stable condition. The driver of the car was not charged.
