Fire Hits Irondequoit Home, Everyone Safe

Fire struck a house being used as a group home in Irondequoit’s  Laurelton Neighborhood this afternoon. Firefighters reported heavy smoke coming from the house at 93 Governor Terrace when they arrived. They evacuated the residents, assisting the last one out in a wheelchair. There’s no word on anyone being hurt. The house was severely damaged.
