Two Rochester men have been charged with murder and weapons violations in the death of a man on June 20th, 2019.
Keith Rodney and Ronnell Weaver are both charged with second degree murder and weapon possession in the death of 31-year-old Alton Carelock, who was found mortally wounded outside of 18 Mohawk Street. He died after being brought to the hospital.
Police say both men were out of custody at the time of the shooting, Rodney on probation. Rodney was arrested in July for possessing an illegal handgun and has been in custody since then. A warrant issued by a Monroe County Grand Jury this week led to his arrest on the murder charge.
Weaver was under arrest for a parole violation warrant and had an illegal handgun at the time of his arrest. He was released from prison, then arrested again this week after the indictment was issued. Both men remain in custody.
