Rochester’s ShotSpotter system alerted police to the latest case of shots being fired into a house in the city. It happened about 5:15 a.m. and two houses were struck.
One house was vacant, and the other occupied by two adults and two children, eight and nine years old. Fortunately, nobody was hit. The vacant house was also fired on at about 11:15 Monday night.
At about 3:55 Tuesday morning, shots were fired into a house on the 400 block of Arnett Boulevard. There were five adults in the home. None of them were injured.
At about 1:00 AM, shots were fired into an occupied house on Ackerman Street. Three adults and five children ages one-through-16 were home at the time. None were injured.
Police responding to the scene stopped a car seen leaving the area. They seized an illegal handgun and arrested a 19-year-old occupant of the car. Criminal charges are forthcoming.
