A car crashed into a tree in Rochester early Labor Day morning, and police ended up arresting both the driver and a passenger who ran from the scene for possession of drugs and an illegal weapon.
Police say the car crashed shortly after midnight at 161 Lux Street. The 22 year old city man who was driving was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after being helped out of the car. His injuries were non-life threatening.
The passenger, a 26-year-old man, was located a short time later and also taken to Strong for treatment.
The investigation is still going on.
