Gates police say they’re looking for a second 16-year-old boy in connection with the murder of Richard Sciascia on Buell Road April 7th.
They say 16-year-old Anthony Jacobs is wanted for the carjacking murder. Sciascia was fatally shot during the carjacking attempt, an incident that followed a string of violent carjackings across Monroe County.
Another teen, 16-year-old Edgar Tolentino, was arrested in the case last week and is being held with no bail.
Gates Police Chief James VanBrederode said they’ve been talking to Jacobs’ family, trying to get him to turn himself in, but it appears he’s hiding. They believe Jacobs is still in the area.
