A Rochester teenager is charged with murder in Tuesday’s death of another teen on Weld Street.
Police say 16-year-old Raymar Alexander deliberately shot 17-year-old Chance Mosely at least 10 times on the porch of a house. Alexander inadvertently shot himself in the arm at the same time. Police say the shooting was not random, but say they’re not disclosing the motive at this time.
Mosely was found dead at the scene. Alexander went to Rochester General Hospital seeking treatment of his injury. He was released from the hospital on Wednesday, and immediately arrested on charges including second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in court and send to the Monroe County Children’s Detention Center pending his next court appearance on Monday.
