A 15-year-old girl has been arrested on an assault charge for punching a Pittsford School District bus monitor in the face. The girl will answer the charge in family court.
Greece Police Chief Patrick Phelan says the girl was riding the Pittsford bus because her family had just moved to Greece, but she’s being allowed to stay in Pittsford Schools for now.
Monitor Shannon Casey says she was blindsided by the girl, who hit her from behind and shoved her face into a window while other students on the bus recorded the assault.
Casey suffered facial injuries and also a concussion. Police have the video of the incident but aren’t releasing it.
