A 14-year-old was killed Thursday afternoon when she was struck by a car on Route 39 in the Town of Geneseo.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says the victim was struck near the corner of Nations Road. Sheriff Tom Dougherty says it was a single-car accident and deputies were interviewing the driver, but it appeared to be just a horrible accident.
Investigators say the girl was running with a friend when she was struck. The friend wasn’t hurt.
The Geneseo Central School District says the girl was a 9th Grader at Geneseo Central High School. They’re not releasing her identity yet.
