A stolen Kia crashed in Rochester after it was spotted doing donuts on a road in Gates. Gates police say they were called to Chili Ave. and Old Beahan Road Tuesday morning and pulled up behind the car when they found it in a driveway.

The driver backed over a neighboring law, hit a patrol car and then sped off. Police chased the vehicle into the city where the driver went through a fence and then crashed, rolling the vehicle over at Norton and Hollenbeck Streets where Rochester police found it.

The RPD arrested two occupants as they climbed out of the wreck. A third person got away. They charged Keyshawn Essig, 22, of Gates with criminal possession of stolen property and obstruction of governmental administration and released him on his own recognizance. The 14 year old who was actually driving the car was turned over to juvenile authorities.
