The 138th Assembly District primary between Republicans Bob Zinck and Peter Vazquez has been decided by just three votes.
Absentee and military ballots were unsealed and counted today at the Monroe County Board of Elections. There were 22 of them…15 for Zinck, six for Vazquez, and one invalid. That was enough to reverse the lead Vazquez held after the unofficial count a week ago…and tilt the election to Zinck.
He’ll face Harry Bronson in November. Bronson beat Rachel Banhart in last week’s primary.
