Rochester police arrested a pair of teenage boys late Wednesday night after they allegedly beat and carjacked a Rochester man in the 600 block of Dewey Avenue.
The teens are 13 and 14 years old, so their names weren’t released.
Police say the 39-year-old victim was attacked and his car stolen shortly before 11 Tuesday night. Police spotted the stolen car on Driving Park Avenue just before 1:30 Wednesday morning.
The driver tried to get away and police gave chase. The 13-year-old driver ran into a curb at 1200 Ridgeway Avenue. The boys ran but were caught after a brief foot chase.
The 13-year-old driver was charged with robbery, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. The 14-year-old passenger was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
