The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has charged ten youths after an investigation into vandalism and a break-in at the Livonia School.
Deputies say the concession stand at the school ball field was broken into on August 5th. Windows were smashed and items were stolen. The next day, the school reported graffiti painted on the roof.
Sheriff Tom Dougherty says ten youths were arrested in connection with both incidents. Three have been charged as juveniles with burglary, criminal mischief and petty larceny. One has been charged as an adult. All ten are charged with criminal trespass. All their names are being withheld due to their ages.
The school district said it will cost nearly $6,500 to remove the graffiti from the building.
