A mass shooting in Rochester Tuesday night has left one man dead and four people injured.
Police were called to the area of Illinois Street and Atlantic Avenue for a report of gunshots. They learned a number of people had been brought to local hospitals. Four men between the ages of 18 and 30 were taken to Rochester General, and one of those victims was pronounced dead. Another is in critical condition and the other two are recovering. Police on Wednesday identified the deceased as24-year-old Jahkeem Douglas.
A fifth man in his 20s was taken to Strong Memorial. He is also suspected to survive.
No arrests have been made so far.
Police said in a news conference that the house had been rented via AirBnB for the night by a group that was shooting a rap video in honor of another man who died in a shooting, Deandre Jenkins, who was killed in 2019.
Police say an argument somehow broke out, guns were drawn and more than 20 shots were fired.
